How I work
01
Listen and clarify
I begin by understanding the goals, audience, content, specifications, and final application. Asking the right questions early helps establish a clear direction and prevent problems later.
02
Build the System
I organize the information and develop a cohesive visual direction that can work consistently across different formats, pieces, and environments.
03
Review and Refine
I evaluate the work for clarity, hierarchy, brand consistency, and practical use, incorporating feedback and resolving details before the design moves into production.
04
Prepare and Ready
I create production-ready artwork that accounts for dimensions, scale, bleeds, safe areas, resolution, color requirements, and vendor specifications.
More than a finished file
I work directly with clients to design solutions, review and refine supplied creative, coordinate specifications with vendors, and anticipate production limitations before they become problems. From initial concepts through revisions and final deliver, I keep the details organized so the finished piece looks great, functions as intended, and gets to where it needs to be.
“Making the simple complicated is commonplace. Making the complicated simple—awesomely simple—that’s creativity.”
— Charles Mingus

A little beyond the work
Outside of client projects, I'm always drawn to visual storytelling. Whether that's through photography, exploring museums and history, or diving into research-heavy creative problems. I love learning new things, finding inspiration in the world around me, and bringing that curiosity back into my work.
